The College of Marin is a wonderful community resource, but for too long has been mired in problems, with promises unfulfilled and serious new funding challenges to overcome. I bring a fresh perspective and new leadership to the Board that can help solve those problems.

My 30 year track record
in fundraising and problem solving for non-profits will help with much needed fiscal oversight and prevent wasteful spending while insuring strong student and community programs (including special needs, ESL, and lifelong learning for seniors). Indian Valley remains an underutilized resource. I pledge to see that both campuses are fully functioning for the students and the community.

The building construction generously funded by your tax dollars must be completed on time and on budget. We need to forge partnerships with business and the community to create good, well paying and local jobs and actively seek alternative funds to bring more resources to the College.

As a businesswoman I have helped many agencies and non profits function more effectively. I bring those skills to the College of Marin, so that both campuses are ready to meet the needs of the 21st Century.

Thank you.
